Love this piece in our family room. We live on the water and this console fits right in with our decor. Our flat screen fits perfectly, and it works well in the corner next to our fireplace. I do wish, however, that there was a shelf in the storage compartments. It would make storing DVD's easier. I do feel, all in all, this is a good addition to our home for the price. (Would have been 5 stars if the storage compartments had shelves!)
Great: Looks great. Easy assembly. Masters in Engineering not necessary.
Not so great: Discovered paint blemish on front of unit after assembly. Back cover piece about 4 inches too wide for the unit. I made it work as repacking into the shipping box for return would require an advanced engineering degree.
Great: Customer service. They quickly sent me a bottle of touch-up paint which will fix the paint blemish.
Bottom Line: My fears about ordering sight unseen on-line were founded. But it looks great with the new TV and customer service seemed to care when I called. Overall B-

The web site said it would take 4-5 weeks to receive this but I ordered it on a Sunday and received it the following Wednesday. The box is large and heavy (100 lbs) but it is VERY well packaged. Each piece is individually wrapped in foam and rigid foam spacers and cardboard inserts also separate the pieces. None of the pieces were damaged or scratched. Assembly was quite easy except that one of the screw clerance holes was slightly off and would not allow the screw to align properly with the threaded receiver. I was able to drill the hole slightly larger and make it work. One of the other reviewers stated that there were no latches for the doors. That is not accurate as there are recessed magnets built in that hold the doors closed and seem to work quite nicely. The magnets are recessed into the wood and are painted over. They are quite invisible and require you to place the dividers exactly as shown on the instructions or the magnets will be on the back side and won't touch the doors. Another reviewer mentioned an issue being able to attach the doors. I had the same issue on one of the doors and had to loosen the screws holding that side of the base in place so that I could lift the base up slightly (the console is assembled in the upside down position) in order to put the door over the pin. Overall it is a nice sturdy unit but I would like to have had a shelf in the compartments with the doors that could have been put in or left out depending on the customer's needs.
I ordered the LadyBug Red console and it took about two weeks for delivery. While unpacking it, I discovered the bottom portion of the console was cracked. Very evident that the damage occurred during shipping. I called LL Bean's Customer Service and couldn't be happier with the rep who handled the matter. I identifed the damaged piece and they said they would have a replacement piece sent out - I recieved it in two days. The console was very easy to put together by myself - it took less than an hour. The red adds a dash of color to my living room and looks great with my TV, Stereo and DVD player. Highly reccommended.
