I love country decor and have been looking forever for an entertainment center. The price was a perfect fit but I thought the unit would be taller. Its higher than a standard coffee table but shorter than a sofa table. The TV sits lower than I expected. My fault read the dimensions but made it work. AN ADDED PLUS... they added magnetic closures to the cabinet doors (saw a post to the contrary) SO EASY TO PUT TOGETHER!!! Although a typo error in instructions refers to the wrong screws to add to the bottom base corners. Figured out they should be the longest ones Step 6 Reference "K" should be "M6 -35 #S". Cant wait for my book shelves to get here and finish off the look. Was also able to cut out additional holes for cords to fit through the back panel to customize my electronic pieces. Only one large cutout in the center. Needed additional holes in cupboard area that houses game consoles.
This is well made. It goes togeather easy and looks good when done. The screws for the knobs are incorrect,but that is easly fixed at your local hardware store for 75 cents.
This is the third item in the cottage furniture series that we purchased. We previously purchased the bench and side table, which were very easy to assemble and look great! The TV table is also very nice, but there were two minor issues. While the packaging is very thorough, we discovered the following: 1) a piece of trim in the front of the consol (at the bottom) was not completely attached (it had come apart). It was easy to re-attach with a vise and wood glue. 2) A piece of wood on the inside of one of the side cabinets (used to stop the door) was broken. Again, it was easy to repair with wood glue. Presumably we could have returned the package, but given the size and weight, it was not worth the hassle.
