"We were delighted with this product. After many years, our previous scrabble set had worn out. We expect to use this set for many years to come.
Unfortunately, when we threw out our old Scrabble set (with quite a few missing pieces), we also tossed the two booklets that came with it. One had a list of two letter words, and the other had lists of words used by experts. I had hoped this set would have included something like that; it did not. But none of the other sets advertised included these booklets either.
The board is easy to see, the pieces stay in place, the velcro closure on the bag of letters helps to keep them together, and everything is encased in the attractive wooden box so there is no need to hide the game away. It is always out and ready to use play."

"The LL Bean Scrabble Edition is a Scrabble-lovers dream. The board rotates, and you can store all the items in the wooden box. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to stop knocking the racks over when you turn the board! A well made product, and certainly a lovely gift for the "hard-core" player."

"I really liked the quality of the Scrabble board game. I got the game engraved and that looks ok. The problem that I have with the game is LLBean is largely displayed on the board itself. It is like a lifetime advertisement. I wanted this to be an heirloom. This isn't the first time I have had this problem with an LLBean product. I purchased 3 sleeping bags and had them monogramed. The LLBean logo was larger and more nicely embroidered then the initials. It over powered the gift."

"This edition of Scrabble is a Christmas gift but I have checked it out thoroughly. It is exactly as pictured and I had it engraved with the person's initial and the year for an extra special gift. "This item is not as nice as I expected for the price. The cover just sits on top. if it was to be knocked over peices could get lost easily. I was also surprised for the LLBean quality that there was no plastic covering over the tile area for playing. Loved the idea of the engraving thought this could be a family hairloom"

"Now when my oponent is losing she can't 'accidently' bump the board and end the game. Very well made and the spinability is the best. If you love Scrabble you should look into the Double Scrabble board that is out there."
