Definite lightweight fleece. Sleeves are longer than normal, similar to biking shirts that have longer sleeves because of the stretched out (extended) position you have on a bicycle. Not the best fleece I've owned but a good one. Bought it on sale so it was a good value.
Thsi version is warmer than an earlier version of the fleece jacket I bought years ago. The front zippered pocket was retained, which is very handy for sunglasses, gum, cell phone, and other assorted items that are more conveniently reached this way. The sleeves were surprisinglly long, for me almost out of proportion to the body, but I just roll them up and inch or so and am good to go. All in all, I like this jacket for winter and early spring wear.
Note: Had to return it. I'm 5' 5.5" tall, 145 lbs, sleeve length 32". The size Small is too small, and the size Medium is too large (sleeves way too long, body of jacket way too long). I need a size between Small and Medium, e.g. a size Medium/short.
