Lightweight but warm without the bulk and has lots of pockets inside and out. I bought this for x-country skiing and snowshoeing, however, haven't been able to test it out in those areas due to lack of snow! It has worked well out walking the dog or running errands. I also wear it to work since it is so nicely styled.
I am a cold blooded person who likes to wear sweaters and jackets to stay warm in the wintertime. This jacket is amazing. Usually, I have to wear the jackets or sweater and then a coat over it. In the moderate days, there is no need to wear a coat over this jacket at all. This amazing coat is warm outside as well as comfortable inside. My recomendation would be to get two of your favorite colors.
The fleece jacket is excellant. I am very satisfied with the quality, sizing and appearance of the jacket. It is surprising that a jacket can be so light, comfortable and warm. Our purchases have been both mail order and at the Freeport store over the years. We are always satisfied.
