We have hade some really cold days, below zero, and with a base layer and a light shell, this fleece is the perfect middle layer. It helped maintain my core temp and pulled moisture away so I didn't have chills.
It's my 1st LLBean clothing. Very impressed with the workmanship. Keeps me warm indoors. When going outdoor, I put on a winter jacket over it, and i don't even know the difference in temperature. So, yes, I'd recommend it
I love this jacket . . . it is the perfect weight for running in our South Mississippi winters, features deep pockets for stowing your phone & keys, and is so convenient to grab when you're in a rush out the door. I wish I had ordered several in different colors!
