I was very pleased with this jacket... until I washed it. Now the zipper is curled and causes the entire front to be wavy instead of lying neatly flat as it did prior to washing. Worst is the collar. If the jacket is fully zipped, the collar is so twisted, it is uncomfortable and looks bad. The product is machine wash and dry. I don't use hot settings, so I am surprised that this happened. Very disappointed, especially since I really do like the jacket.
Jacket fits small. I like to layer and had ordered a medium, which I usually wear, but exchanged it for a large. The tidal teal is an unique and pretty color. There are 3 large outside zip pockets in the front. The jacket fits nice, the fleece is lightweight which makes the jacket comfortable to wear but the fleece still kept me nice and warm. The extra details like top stitching and darker panels on the side enhance the jacket's appearance.
I got this jacket a few weeks ago just when it started hinting at Fall in the Rocky Mountains. I have since worn it hiking several times, on my town bike to the Farmers Market, to soccer practice etc...It's a great fit (got my normal size medium and can layer under it easily or just wear a tank, while the shape is excellent.
I bought this jacket at the outlet (for less than the featured price) while driving up to Eastport, Maine. I got it in green and I have to say, I wore it almost everywhere I went. It looks very classy with the side panels, and yet very comfortable with the waffle-like material inside and soft exterior. I wore it in restaurants, on boat trips, I even wore it while hiking up a mountain at 5:30 to see the sunrise. Amazing jacket, and I can't wait to wear it in the winter for running. Great job, L.L Bean, you never disappoint me!
