The medium is a bit more fitted than I had expected so you might consider the next size up if you want a more roomy jacket. The fabric is wonderful and the zippered pockets are a terrific place to store cell phone, car keys, lip gloss and other items you need close at hand. I wear the jacket when I volunteer and when I substitute teach. The collar is a bit stiff and doesn't lay flat on the left side because it is more of a 'sport' jacket and most people would zip it up for protection from the weather. The one I got is a two tone teal. I like it.
This is one very comfortable jacket. It is light and flexible. I wear it walking the dog, hiking, and cross country skiing. When the weather is drizzly, I stay dry. Ordered up a size so I could layer easily. If you prefer a snug fit, order to size. The sleeves are a little on the long side (which I like).
I purchased this jacket at a fantastic price but would gladly have paid more. It is a great weight for an average to cold SE winter day and I love the zippered pockets. Initially purchased it for trail running but it is too warm for that. Wish I had bought one of the darker colors because it would be more appropriate for the woods. On the other hand the teal is most attractive for around town. I initially bought a Med and returned it for a small. I am petite 8.
