I am happy with weight - perfect for shopping; with the warmth- just right for most days; I am disappointed it is so fitted. I had hoped to have an more versatile jacket. The jacket is very snug with most sweaters underneath. Guess I missed the part that said it was fitted for athletes.
I just returned from a 9 day trip to northern CA. I worn this jacket every day. On the plane, it was light comfortable warmth. Walking around town, I left the jacket open and was warmer than other people wearing heavy wool coats. On a hike, the jacket moved along with me...I didn't feel constricted. The stretchy panels allow for a wide range of activity and the contrasting color is a pretty touch.
Fabric is not as warm as I anticipated. It is too skimpy around the chest. In fact I will exchange it for a 200 fleece jacket, but don't like this year's colors. Might even have to settle for a Trail Model. Very disappointed as I love LL Bean fleece jackets and still have one that I purchased approx 15 or more years ago.
I was looking for a fleece jacket that was not boxy, but more fitted. This fits the bill perfectly. I have the black and have worn it as a jacket not a layering piece, but as temps fall, I'm sure that will come. It this has a downside, I would say it is a bit pricey...only reason for 4, not 5 stars.
