I love this jacket. The fleece is thick and fine textured, almost a velveteen, and blocks the chilly breeze very well. I like the fit, it isn't boxy but follows my body shape makeing me appear slimmer, always a plus. I like the roomy pockets, including a chest pocket that gives plenty of room for my cell phone and space for a credit card or a small amount of cash.
I had misivings about ordering black, as I have a cat, and black shows every little speck of lint, but there is something about this fabric that doen'st seem to be such a magnet for lint and animal hair. Yes, there is some, but not bad. Now I'm thinking of ordering another jacket in a different color.
This jacket is very warm and holds up to strong winds. However, the collar was to stiff for me. The jacket rode up when a sat down which made the collar even more uncomfortable. I returned the jacket and hope to find something a little more comfortable in the same style.
I think this fleece is great! It's lightweight but provides a lot of warmth. I do agree with all the other comments that talk about the mesh pockets. The pockets are cooler and I wish they were fleece too, but besides that I love it. I live in upstate NY and it's been great for going to work, walking the dog, and I've even gone jogging in it. I was a little worried it'd be too small because I ordered the medium but it's a perfect fit. I'm 5'6 148lbs.
I wanted something that was functional and fashionable. This jacket is warm, soft, and boasts a flattering fit. Would definitely recommend for a cool day to add a layer without adding bulk. This jacket is fabulous!!
