I love the coat. Great length and warmth. However it is important to note I am 5'8" and 150lbs. I generally order Mediums, sometimes Large. I ordered medium on this coat and it is much too big. I am going to return it and try a small. I doubt I've ever ordered a small in anything before.

I actually own this coat (different color) in the above knee length and love it. I wanted a longer coat with a hood. It's warm but not overwhelming if you go inside a store. I like the fit and the pockets that are small but don't bunch out and give a slim, tailored look.
Looking forward to getting this coat as a casual but still work-appropriate overcoat. Unfortunately, the zipper on this coat would not work. Toggle buttons alone are not enough to keep out the cold and the zipper would not align normally. When it's cold out you really don't want to spend 15 minutes trying to get a zipper to work and have only half of the coat move up the zipper. Aggravating Not typical for LLBean. Disappointing. Returned the item.

This faux-sherling coat is so warm and comfortable I was surprised I would love it as much as I do. When they say it's good for temps between -25 to 25, they weren't joking! I'm so warm wearing it in temps in the 30's that I forget how cold it is. There's an inner zipper so you don't have to rely totally on the toggle buttons, but they add that "shearling" look indeed. I haven't had to use the hood yet, but it's nice to know it's there for when the wind is out of control. If I had this in the northern states it would be a perfect coat.
