Saw the reviews on the shorter version, stated was tight in arms, which is true. Not a great fit. Also the edges of the faux fur are lighter. Bought the dark brown, not as rich looking in person. Bottons are a bit clumsy. Not as nice as I thought it would be but I kept it anyway.

the wife absolutely loves this coat.. but being the male of the species, I of course chose a color (mushroom) that "clashed" with her hair color. no problem, we can send it back and get a more apropriate color (black), because LL Bean is really great about that kind of stuff..... but it turns out that the mushroom color was only clashing in public settings (what was I thinking?), and is really great for wearing out here in the wind-blown farmlands.... oh well, I'm sure she's not the only woman with 2 coats!!!!!
I have purchased from LL Bean before and have always been happy with my purchases. Unfortunately, this coat did not meet my expectations. I tried it on as soon as I received it. When I took the coat off, I was disappointed to see bits of the shearling lining stuck to my shirt. I'll be returning this item.
