I received this coat for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE IT! The size was correct I take a lg and it is true to size. I now want the car coat/ Very warm and stylish.
I was looking for a coat this length for daily use as a city commuter. I've had it two weeks and so far am very pleased with it's warmth and comfort. I like using it with a scarf for full neck coverage. The hood is a nice addition to wearing a hat, but does not seem designed to necessarily use alone given its loose fit around your head.
I wanted a long coat to walk the dog in. I wore it when it was 40 degrees outside and felt the cold as if I had a light sweater on. This is NOT a warm coat! I am a first time LL Bean shopper and was totally surprised to see that in addition to the shipping charges, I will be paying an additional $6.50 to return the coat. I am not a 100% satisfied customer!
I love the look of this coat and it is very warm however, the lining is very rough to the touch. I am fairly hot natured compared to my colleagues and therefore wear sleeveless or short-sleeved shirts to work each day and just needed a good, warm coat to wear when I am traipsing to and from the office or when I am out running errands. You will need to wear long sleeves and a scarf when donning this coat or you will likely get itchy skin.
