I ordered a medium in this coat and it was too small. My daughter who is a small ordered a different coat in small and it was too big, but it fit me. Being a mail order company their sizes should be more accurate. The coat also seemed worn, which maybe it was supposed to look like that.
This is a cozy coat that's long enough to keep my lower half warm. The sizing and fit are a little unusual, though. I wear an 8, so I usually wear a size small at LLBean. The small was too tight through the shoulders and the body, so I had to send it back for a medium. That one's better, but the fit is still very boxy. A more tailored fit at the waist would make it look better.
I ordered this coat, and returned it -too small. I think it might be sized wrong-I have the shorter version in large and is a fine fit. I returned it for the next larger size. Aside from this problem, the coat is just what I want-longer with a hood.
I have been looking for a faux shearling, washable coat for a number of years and just stumbled upon this one. It fits quite well over a sweater (I ordered a large, although I usually order a medium in tops) and I love the hood. The hem hits just below my knees and I wish it were longer, but I am tall so I often have this problem. So far, I think it is a great coat.
