The coat itself is nice quality, the problem is totally in the cut. Like so many other reviewers, this coat runs very small. I am a normally a Petite Small and even an Extra Small on knit shirts. I have very small shoulders and short arms -- hips not so small. Because of those features I went ahead and ordered a Petite Small. Coat was definately too small to wear over anything except a very light shirt. In addition, the cut is strange. Most coats that have a fitted top would taper into an A-line -- this coat really does not. Therefore, you "feel" the coat against your thighs in a strange way and it then creates a bump in the mid-section. It would also be nice if the hood came over the head a little more. I like my hair to be covered to keep off the snow and this hood is a few inches less than I think it should be. My other hooded casual coats are just right. Despite some of the downsides, I was going to reorder in a Petite Medium in dark mushroom, but now they are sold out. Think I will wait till next year and perhaps they will revise the cut of the coat -- there are definately issues. HOPE YOU ARE LISTENING LL BEAN -- NORMALLY LOVE YOUR STUFF!
