As usual, the color of this jacket was outstanding (I ordered the Pacific Blue). It is very warm without overheating the wearer, even inside. I would have given it a 5 star rating if the lining had not been white -- I would rather have a lining closer in color to the shell but that may not be an issue for most.
I've had my fleece-lined hoodie for close to a year now and love it. I too, wish it was a little longer. At first I thought it was too small, but have come to like the fitted look. I wear only a short sleeved T underneath and find the combination very comfortable.
I bought this hoodie in chocolate brown. I was a little skeptical about how it would fit after reading other reviews. I can wear a small, but I ordered a medium to give me room to wear over sweaters. This is a beautiful hoodie and fits perfectly. There is plenty of room in the arms...not snug as others suggested. My arms are small so that may be why. The inside is so very soft and the hoodie is a nice medium weight. It's light enough for cooler days and heavy enough for colder days. Overall, this is my most favorite jacket. I am very, very pleased with the fit and the quality of this item. Thank you LLBean!!!
This is a really well made, cozy hoodie. After reading many of the other reviews, I finally ordered the small, and it fits well. I usually take a small or medium depending on the product. I actually like the fact that it is fitted, while still cozy and warm. So much "warm" clothing is bulky and often unflattering. It is true that it can only be worn over one layer, but that layer can be a t-shirt or a long sleeved thermal shirt, as long as it too is fitted. It is perfect to wear out for a walk or drive. I ordered one for each of my boys and am about to order one for my husband, because he was jealous.
What keeps this item from being great is that the (woman's) hood is too small; it barely stays on my head, and the color choice is not very inspired (in my opinion). I like the boy's color choices more. I also agree with other reviews that it would be ideal if a few inches longer. If LL Bean makes these changes, I will buy more.
