This is truly the most outstandingly comfortable sweatshirt you will ever own. The outside fleece is cuddly soft and brushed, and the inside furry fleece is butter soft and pleasantly warm. So far I have the indigo, lite green, and teal. The colors are beautiful. I have washed one, and I let it fluff for about 15 minutes in the dryer, then let it hang to air dry. After reading other reviews, I was not sure if I should order my regular LLBean size (XS) or up a size as others recommended. I took a chance and ordered my regular size and it was a success!! For me, LLBean clothing items run very true to size. The XS fleece hoodie still had plenty of room for a thicker shirt with long sleeves (not the tank top I was wearing when I tried it on). All in all a great success. They would make really nice holiday gifts!
I had bought the kid's version of this sweatshirt for my 2 children this spring and couldn't believe how soft they were! I just had to have one! I usually wear a medium (or even a small depending on the item) and I bought a large for a more comfy fit and so I could wear layers under it. I'm glad I did - this seemed to me to run a little on the small size as compared to other items. I'm actually returning medium knit shirts I bought at the same time because they were too big.
I'd say it is more of a "fitted" fit rather than "relaxed". Other than the size issue - I'm very happy with this. I plan on living in the sweatshirt this fall!
WOW. I just received my fleece lined hoodie and it is SO CUSHY and comfortable, I can't wait for fall to wear it. I read the other reviews and ordered a large, even though I usually wear mediums from Bean, and it fits perfectly with room for light sweater underneath, if needed. It is a very substantial weight, not real light like regular sweatshirts.
Best sweatshirt I have ever owned. I now have 3. Very warm and cuddly. Washes well (I hang to dry) Slips over any shirt easily. Have ordered 4 for Christmas presents.
