I have been in search of a heavy-duty sweatshirt designed for women for a few years. It never occurred to me to look on LLBean before, and when I saw this on the website I was filled with hope. Was my search finally over? I ran right over to the Retail Store and tried one on, and bought it immediately.
This sweatshirt is the softest, cuddliest, most perfect-fitting sweatshirt I have ever owned. The super-soft microfleece inside is a revelation, and even the jersey on the outside is amazingly soft. I got the Mulberry color, which is nice and bright without being glaring. (I think it is brighter in person than it looks in the web pictures.)
Its been about 80 degrees and I still can't help wearing it sometimes because it is so cozy. I just love it. I hope to get a few more in different colors soon. I can't believe my search it finally over. Thank you LLBean!
I could already see myself wearing this all fall and spring. The inside is so soft, warm and luxurious, you'll feel like you are floating on air. The fit is flattering. I first ordered one size up (medium) and it turned out to be too big. Got the small (which is the size I usually order) and it fits perfectly. Thank you LL for such quality products!
This is marvellous item, but I ordered dark mulberry colour and it's disappointing - I wish I had ordered navy or chocolate. The problem is I live in the UK and have to pay tax and customs duty and it would be very expensive to return this item and order a replacement. The colour is more like a dark magenta, whereas on the website it looks more like a claret colour.
I bought this hoodie thinking it would be a wonderfully light jacket for mild, south Texas winters. The fleece lining is very soft, but unfortunately the sleeves were too short for my arms. I don't like for my long sleeves to fit above the wrist, as I tend to constantly pull on them. I would say the sleeve length should be considered average. I'm disappointed as the jacket is very warm and I would have liked to have been able to use it.
