This is the most amazingly warm and soft hoodie I own! I wear it every chance I get. I've used it on mild days outdoors and on cold snowy ones indoors. This is a very warm hoodie, because it is lined so I was surprised at the weight of it. However, I'm finding it to be so useful and comfy I couldn't return it. If you are looking for a lightweight hoodie this isn't it but if you want the softest warmest kind this is definitely for you!
I ordered the Fleece-Lined Hoodie in Indigo, size L, for my adult daughter. Thinking there would be plenty of room, I was disappointed to find that the hoodie ran small to size. My daughter said it was fine, but honestly it fit more like a wet suit than a sweatshirt. The color, indigo, was more a light blue than dark blue. Other than that, the hoodie was nice, just buy two sizes larger than you normally would. :)
This is a great jacket! It is very warm and oh so soft. I love to wear it sleding instead of my bulky winter jacket. It pairs well with the Bean's Goose Down Vest. However, this jacket does need a few improvements! THe first time I wore the jacket and unzipped a pocket the little velvet pull came right off! Over the first week of use the remainding two zipper pulls fell off. I refuse to reture it because I couldn't bare not to have it! I love the coat just have to deal with no zipper pulls(I will get new ones).
I was skeptical of this product because not all of LLBean's attempts to go trendy have worked, but I have fallen in love with this hoodie. A) it is warm, B) it fits me well, and C) it is soft soft soft. I wish Bean's would make more clothes out of the jersey, it is so unbelievably soft and has just gotten softer with washing. While it is a five star for me, be warned; it is a unique fitting garment as other reviewers have mentioned. It has princess seam lines yet is actually quite straight up and down; basically it is a trim fit in the bust and hip. I can definitely see where people wanted to go up a size, but I ordered my usual XS and just wear it with Tshirts underneath. If you are more than a B-cup you will almost certainly feel that it is too snug. I find the construction excellent; if you have trouble with the zipper getting caught on the fleece, just take a little pair of scissors and trim down the fleece nap a bit next to the zipper--problem solved. Definitely a splurge for me but I'm getting my money's worth out of it!
