I absolutely love LLBean, and am usually very happy with my purchases, but this hoodie was disappointing. Enough so that I'm planning to return it. Specifically, it's just too heavy to be comfortable. It is fluffy and warm, but it just weighs so much that I can't stand having it on my body. The sleeves won't stay up, if you push them up your arms. It's heavier--physically heavier by weight--than anything I own, including my thick winter coats. Also, the color, which was supposed to be a raspberry, I think, is really a yucky salmon color.
I bought this item last fall and it's been sitting in my closet while I decided what to do with it. I thought I was just being picky, but after I read a few of the other reviews, I really think it's not as good as the men's version. I love the fleece lining - it's toasty warm and comfy - but the hood doesn't have a drawstring and the ribbing is loose. Rather than taking a chance it won't wear well, I'm going to send it back and hope that next year, you'll fix those two things - or maybe, like others, I'll simply purchase the men's version.
This is a top quality hoodie. The fleece lining makes it so warm. I like to wear t-shirts during the winter time and I wear this hoodie to stay warm. Bought for my 3 kids too and they love it. My daughter prefers to wear this hoodie during her skating lessons because it is less bulky than her winter coat.
