This is a very nice hoodie, I normally wear a large and due to wanting to layer this over other clothes bought an x-large and it is WAY too small. I would recommed to buy bigger than you normally would to ensure correct fit.
Overall I really like this hoodie. I agree with others that is more fitted and best paired with lightweight clothing underneath. I am very dissapointed to return mine because the sleeves are just too short for me. They are fine with my arms to my sides, but as soon as I bring them up to do anything they are above my wrist bone. Debating getting a L instead of M just to see if that fixes the problem. I typically wear size 8 or medium and LL Bean clothing does tend to run short in the sleeves for me.
I gave this fleece lined hoodie an exra star because its so soft and has such a comfortable feel but it is too small. I ordered a large (usually wear a size 12) after reading the reviews but its too tight. I will return it but haven't decided if I'll go to an XL.
I really like my hoodie. It's soft and warm but it's definitely not a "relaxed" fit. If you want a more relaxed fit I suggest ordering a size up. With the medium, I could wear a cami underneath but anything else would make me feel constricted. I'm exchanging it for a large because I would like to have the option of wearing a long-sleeved shirt under it.
