Purchased mine in Chocolate Brown which looks great with the contrasting cream fleece lining. I hope LLBeans continues to offer these as mine instantly became a favorite. I normally wear a size 6 petite and since these didn't come in a petite, I ordered an XS. It fits fine in body length, and the sleeves are fine when I turn the cuffs up--which is OK with me. I didn't find the sleeves tight as some have reported, but I'm just wearing a cotton long-sleeve top or a silk-weight top under it. The sleeve lining isn't slick and doesn't slide well over tops with a heavier weave or fuzzy surface. So size up if you want to wear something heavier under it. I'm off to order another. These are just great!
Order one of these for me, one in youth size for my daughter - we both love them. Ordered my normal size, fit is a bit snug for my taste, sleeves and body could be longer (but I'm 5'10" and say that about most clothes). I'm keeping the one I bought, but I am ordering another one 1 size larger, I'll keep one for home and leave one in my classroom at school. Wish I could afford one in every color, this is definitely going to end up being my favorite sweatshirt, and here in So Cal, it's about all I'll need as a winter coat.
I'm grateful to the other reviewers who suggested to order a size larger for this fleece lined hoodie. I usually wear a size Medium in L.L.Bean shirts, but I ordered a Large for this jacket. I'm glad I did! The jacket is definitely "fitted" and I would even say the Large is a bit smaller than I would like for a jacket. I'm not sure if I could comfortably fit a sweatshirt underneath. The fleece lining is super soft, but it's not included inside the sleeves. The outer material is also very soft and I love the indigo color. What a dream jacket!
I purchased one of these hoodies for my toddler son, and wished that I could have gotten one as well. When I saw these in a recent catalog, I couldn't wait to buy one. I ordered the indigo, and I was so pleased with everything about it. I ordered a medium, my usual size, which fit perfectly, even after washing and drying (on low). I would agree that they are slightly fitted but nothing to detract from the comfort, even over a long-sleeved shirt. The inside is so soft, I wish that the cold weather would come so that I could use this jacket! I know I'll probably use it daily, in my casual lifestyle, so I'll probably order another color as well.
