I purchased one in 2009 and loved it!! It was so warm and the inside like a teddy bear! I am petite and the small was a good fit.
The pocket zipper broke this year and LL Bean replaced it without a hitch. I am disappointed with the new one, as the inside material changed to a thinner and cheaper feel. Too bad, I would have bought another one.
I'm a very consistent size medium for most Bean clothes, but this jacket was definitely small, especially across the bust (and I'm only a B cup and I wasn't wearing anything under it when I tried it on). I just sent it back for a large. The jacket itself is fabulous though...soft, warm and cozy. My son has one and absolutely loves it! I prefer my jackets to have some room....if I remember correctly, I had to order up a size for my son as well. So, I'm thinking that the product runs small across the board. I do think it is a tad expensive.....
I just wanted to give a heads up - maybe it was just me but I was given this as a gift and really loved it, the feel sooo soft and the way it feels on and fits is great too. However a week or so after I had it - the zipper on the left pocket came off track and then couldn't get it back on track. There was no way to zip it up ever again. So I contacted Costumer Service on line - which was fabulous - they sent me a new one in days it arrived and they told me to just send back the old one (with self addressed package) However, two days after wearing the new one the same thing happened to the zipper but this time on the right pocket. This zipper not only came off track the zipper head fell off completely. I contacted customer service again and exchanged it for something different - was a bit disappointed because it fit and felt great. I exchanged it for the mens version which is really similar but doesn't have zippers on the pockets. Hope you all that have this don't have the same problem. However, they have been really great customer service and willing to make it right.
