I ordered this sweatshirt in the cream last winter when I still lived in FL. I loved it so much that I bought one of the striped ones when they were on sale, and then last week bought the one in navy at one of the outlet stores. I absolutely love this sweatshirt. It's very soft, cozy, and warm. As a former Floridian, I wouldn't recommend this in the fall or spring as it will be much too warm. But for FL winters, it will be perfect. Now living in MA, it has been perfect for the cooling falls. It's great to wear with layers underneath. The fleece is very soft, and the hood is perfect for changing New England weather. The only complaints I have are that it tends to run a little small. I would recommend ordering the next size up if you wish to layer clothes under it. The sleeves, for me, are a little short, and the length on it is also a little short. LLBean makes a lot of clothes in petite, but in this case, I wish this sweatshirt came in a "tall". I like things a little longer, and it fits right at my waist. I wish it were more like hip length, with a little bit longer sleeves. Sitting down with elbows bent, the sleeves don't even come down to my wrists, and I don't usually have this sort of problem with clothing in general. My arms are average length, and I don't buy petite or tall clothes, but just regular or average. I guess if you are petite, the length would be ok. But, if you're like me and like stuff a tad longer, it tends to ride up some and sit at waist level. But, it is very comfy and warm, so I still wear it. I love the look of the fleece, that almost looks like faux fur. This is a great sweatshirt, especially if you want to go to a sports event, rake leaves, or do anything outside in temps from the 30s to low 60s. I've worn it in all of these temperature ranges, and have felt comfortable in all. Of course in the 30s and 40s, I wore a long sleeve shirt underneath, and felt fine. You definitely won't be disappointed in the comfort level of this sweatshirt.
This lightweight jacket is a nice addition to your wardrobe. The feel is cozy, not too warm but does the trick to keep you comfortable for the in between days of summer and autumn. This can also be used in the winter.
I am about to order my second one of these hoodies! I am in charge of an outdoor education program and spend lots of time in a building heated with wood (or not) and layering for warmth is a way of life for us. Although I would agree that the fit is more snug than some ladies might like, this hoodie allows for warmth and some style without looking like a marshmallow person! I can easily add my down vest on top without feeling confined. The fleece is so soft inside, my son contstantly grabs it to feel inside. The colour selection is great as well!
