I bought these in blue, and love them. Extremely comfortable, and they look great with jeans and capris. Sometimes I'm an 8 1/2, sometimes a 9. I went with the 9 and they were perfect with a lightweight sock. I like the lower profile of this shoe vs. the thicker sole on some of the other maryjane styles Bean carries. Its more flattering, less clunky looking. I also have the Beansport maryjane which have a similar profile and are equally comfy. I've had people stop me and ask me where I got those!
I just received the shoes just moments ago, but I wanted to share how pleasantly surprised I am with the look and feel-- they're GREAT! They're much cuter in person than in the photo, and they're fleecy and cushiony on the inside.
They do run small-- I'm not wearing socks and they're on the tight side, so I'd order a half size up if I planned on wearing medium weight socks.
I gave them a 4 out of 5 because I haven't worn them for any period of time yet, and I plan to just wear them in the house so I don't expect to give them a full workout!
After seeing these shoes in the catalogue, I had to buy them. What attracted me to them was their stylish appearance and the fact that they are lined with FLEECE! I live in MA and love that I now have a pair of cute slip-ons that I can wear without socks and know that my feet will stay warm. I bought a size 7 1/2 (normally a 7) but these feel perfect with socks and only a little wiggle room without. I love the fact that if I do decide I should have bought a size 7, with LLBean's guarantee, that I'll be able to exchange them, no questions asked!"
I LOVE these shoes!!!! They are perfect, I can wear them with jeans, skirts and to work. Not to mention how comfortable these shoes are! I have trouble finding shoes that fit me just right, but these definitely do. I am 100% satisfied!
