These shoes provide the support of a shoe with the lightweight and roomy ease of a slipper. They have a nice wide toe box area and the stretchy strap makes the fit perfect from the first try on. Ordering up 1/2 size, based on other reviews, was the right thing to do - since these seem to run a bit small. The chocolate color is heathered with quite a bit of green, and the quality of the shoe is top notch. I have worn them EVERYDAY since they arrived!
Just received these today in the grey color. They felt great the moment I put them on- like wearing slippers with great arch support! They will look cute with jeans too. Thanks LL Bean!
Not much more to say -- I really like these. I got a pair in the brown and in the heather grey, and find them very comfortable and easy to wear. I wouldn't argue with a little more arch support and more fleece in the lining, but as they're sort of "in between" slippers and shoes, I can't complain. I wear them to work and they help with the cold draft under my desk. They're nice and light, and although I am famously hard on shoes, the boiled wool seems to be keeping its finish so far. For the price I paid I think they're a good solid value, typical of what you expect from Bean. :-)
