These are the most comfortable & stylish shoes that I have ever owned. They have arch support built in, so I had to get different inserts than usual. I usually have arch & heel supports, but with these I only had to get heal inserts. They are very cozy, even though the top is open. They clean easily. I waded through mud for a whole day, but only had to spot clean. It could have been because I got the brown color, but I don't think so. The fit did become a little loose after wearing them a week. If they seem just a little tight, then give wearing them a week to break them in. I bought them for a medieval costume, but they ended up as my favorite shoes. I like them so much that I plan on buying another color of these shoes.
I love this shoe. I actually have 3 pairs. My feet tend to always be cold in Winter unless I wear boots and/or wool socks. These solve that problem. I wear them with light to mid-weight crew socks. I've never had a problem with blisters, break-in time, etc. I am a true size 8 with a narrow heel and a high instep. The elastic strap stretches enough so it is never too tight, and the heel does not slip. Extremely comfortable.
I bought these shoes for my wife for Christmas but she couldn't wait and has worn them several times already. So, I guess she likes them alot. Now I need to buy something else for her for Christmas.
