This shoe is very sweet, simple, and comfortable all day long. It's casual, yet works with skirts too - a winner for cool fall days. The gray is a nice neutral for my school outfits. I didn't give the shoe 5 stars because a rather deep fold developed across the outer side of each toe box. It's aesthetically disappointing, but could be unique to my size 10's!
I first loved the look of this shoe--casual, but not too casual. Then I tried them on. The feel is okay, not great. The arch support is nice, but there isn't enough cushioning on the heel. I really like the shoe and the color(chocolate brown), so I am keeping them. I'll try a heel support and see if that helps.
I was disappointed to have to return these shoes but they won't work for my narrow feet. The strap was more than an inch too loose over my arch and unfortunately, it's not adjustable. These were designed with an elastic garter, which probably fits an average foot range, but won't accomodate a narrower foot. A little padding around the ankle area would also add comfort and help snug the fit. I hope Bean changes this because the cozy fleece lining, excellent arch support and great appearance made me reluctant to return them. They look like much more expensive shoes.
I really love these shoes. They are comfy and warm, and can be worn without socks! They fit so nice, and are very stylish. I have gotten several compliments on them already.
