These boots look nice, but the design is strange. First, they are not knee height; they come up just a few inches higher than the middle of my calf. Second, the tops bell out; they're not straight as shown in the photo (I wouldn't have to use the zipper at all). Third, although I ordered the wide width, they are so wide they almost fall off my feet when I walk. I'd have to wear heavy socks with them. I'm going to return them; they aren't at all the tall, slim boots that are pictured.
I have a wide foot and sometimes it is difficult to find a boot which fits! These boots are so comfortable. I wore them around my home for a while to check the fit and they will not need to be 'broken in' since they felt comfortable as soon as I put them on. The leather is soft and supple and the chocolate brown will go with most of my wardrobe. The style will go with dressy casual to weekend casual. Thank you LL Bean....you did it again!!!!
