I bought these boots in tan suede two years ago at an outlet store and I have loved them since day one. Indeed, they need an additional insole but that's no matter. These boots are comfy, stylish, practical, sturdy and they are appropriate for fall days and even icy winters. I get a ton of compliments. I'm getting a second pair in brown suede. I would get a third if they came in black suede. *hint hint*
These boots were disappointing. The shaft was very wide. I could easily pull these on and off without using the zipper. They were loose even with skinny jeans tucked in. The height was strange- lower than knee height. Overall, they seemed to be constructed well, but on my legs looked like pirate boots- not a problem I have experienced before with boots.
I love these boots EXCEPT there is no support or cushioning in the sole. No arch support, no anything. With the addition of a cushioned insole (purchased for about $5 at the drug store) these boots are perfect for me. The run fairly wide across the toe, which works for my wide across the front foot (in many shoes I need a wide width, it was nice to feel normal for once). Also fairly wide in the calf, which was also great for me.
Althought these boots are very nice, the calves were too big and ordered my normal size. I could slip my foot in and out of the boot without unzipping them. I was disappointed I could not wear them.
