Unlike the other reviews, I found the length of these shoes to fit fine but, right about where the strap crosses, they gape so badly I cannot wear them. I've never seen shoes like this and am disappointed because I LOVE them otherwise. Maybe they will fit better with socks.
I was so happy when these were offered as a daily mark down. I had to have the burgundy and ignored all the bad fit press that these shoes got. Unfortunately, everyone was right. Super cute shoe terrible fit! My toes were so squished up in the right one I could barely wear them around my house. My left toes were fine but it felt like the shoe was trying to wear a hole in my heel. It's no bargain if you can't wear them. Really a shame because with jeans they look so nice, they brought my out fit "up a notch." But who cares how nice you look when your limping around the mall. (2 stars for the look of the shoe only!)
I ordered 2 pair of these shoes in spite of reading the reviews about the odd fit. As cute as these shoes were, the fit WAS truly awful. My toes were squished and the heel was way too loose. I can't imagine what kind of foot would feel comfortable in them. It's too bad, because they are so cute.
I've been buying LLBean shoes for years and have been thrilled with their longevity, so I was rather surprised when the strap on one of these shoes broke... Someone did step on my heel, but I had already noticed that it wasn't strongly fastened. And unfortunately, I was already planning on returning them at that point, because the inner soles (?) were coming untucked on the inside of the shoe, which I've never had happen on any shoe before.
