I purchased this raincoat during the winter months and found it great over heavier jackets when out snow blowing or shoveling. But right from the get-go, I had trouble with the zipper. Since we've had so much rain in my part of the world this summer, I didn't want to send it back, but finally did; and ordered the exact same thing. It came the same day I sent back the first one, which I've worn once. Alas, the first time I tried zipping it up, I had difficulties. I'll give it a few more tries - maybe I was just in a hurry. Otherwise it's a great garment, giving plenty of coverage. Keeps you dry, that's for sure!
Have had the shorter version of this rain coat for several years (in bright yellow) and have been very happy with it. I have taken it on many hikes, camping weekends, and trips overseas, and it looks as good today as it did 5 years ago! It's great for travel because it's so lightweight and easily packable. Will be going to France this summer and wanted a longer rain coat, so decided to treat myself to the French blue--beautiful color! I'm 5'9" and this coat hits about 4 in. above my knee. My ONLY hesitation in giving 5 stars is because it makes a crinkling sound and I wish it were a quieter fabric. However, that's such a small negative compared to all the wonderful qualities this rain coat has to offer, that I would highly recommend it.
Great attention given to details. Fit was exactly right, I wear a 16-18 womens so I ordered the 1x. The meadow violet is like a soft pink tourmaline color, very attractive. It rustles a bit but doesn't bother me. I wear it often, even when its not raining.
