I just received the coat so I haven't had a chance to test it in the elements. I love the length. It will provide good coverage from the rain and I really like the hood. With the little brim and the ability to tie it down, it offers a lot of protection. My only concern is that the material seems so thin, I'm afraid it will not hold up to extensive wear. I was looking to replace my every-day-casual rain coat. Although I am not looking for warmth, I was expecting a little more substance. Hopefully the fabric will hold up (not tear easily) with continual use.
My family recently went to Costa Rica. I bought my son an LL Bean raincoat for the occasion since we were going during the rainy season. It poured in Costa Rica and he was the only one who stayed dry. So I was determined to get myself a nice LLBean raincoat and this one fit the bill. It's very light, which means it's packable and will work well in warm/hot weather. Love that it's breathable fabric, so I won't get all sticky but still stay dry. The hot pink will ensure that I can be seen in the rain. The velcro sleeves are great; I can keep the rain out and the hood is adjustable. Really great raincoat and great value.
I like this coat as it is longer than a jacket for more coverage. I had to return first coat as it ran too small to be able to wear with sweater or sweatshirt. The next size up was just what I was looking for and know that I will keep dry and warm on windy, rainy days. thanks for such a great product.
I loved the coat, especially the sleeves that have loop tape on them, and the hood. The material looks and feels very strong. The aqua color I like because it is the color of rain. I felt the coat size ran slightly small and I had to order a larger size.
