I searched high and low for a lightweight raincoat. These were quite popular about 10 years ago, but recently I have found them almost impossible to find since ponchos seemed to be taking over...YUK! I was so happy when I spotted the picture in my catalog from LLBEAN. In the south we need protection from rain without a heavy coat! This is a great raincoat....long enough to keep me protected, yet lightweight! Thanks
The coat is perfect for my morning walks which include all kinds of weather in all 4 seasons. This winter I have used the coat over my usual winter clothing when there was wet snow. The coat kept the wet snow from penetrating and soaking my clothes. I like the lightness of the coat and easy packability ( can be folded and carry inside a medium size purse or backpack. I prefer it to carrying an umbrella.
I wore this in the pouring rain yesterday and it was fantastic. It kept me dry from the rain and was light as a feather, so I didn't sweat while wearing it. The zippered pockets kept everything there dry, too. I'm looking forward to wearing this in Alaska!
