I ordered this jacket because it seemed perfect for what i needed . I can't say that i love the coat..the quality seems very poor (although i knew to expect it to be thin and crinkly, after ready other reviews ) but it was worse than i expected..and the arms are really big !!!The jacket fits fine everywhere else, i ordered a large..but the arms are very roomy. I guess this is fine if you want to layer it with a thick wooly sweater, but i ordered this coat for the summertime, when i still have to push the stroller with both hands and can't hold an umbrella. I still have it in the packaging, in case i find something more adequate at a cheaper price..this should be at least $20 cheaper than it is, and i will shop around this weekend, and if i find something better, i will return this. I rarely order anything online, unless i can return to a local store..i now get landed with the return shipping fee. If you have large arms..this coat may be fine. I can't comment on the performance, as i haven't worn it
After reading other reviews about this coat, knowing that some people thought the "fabric" was cheap, I ordered it anyway. I ordered it because out of all the rain coats, this one is longer and less than $100 and I had already spent several weeks trying to find a suitable raincoat. It arrived and to my dismay, I found it to be the thinnest, noisiest (yes, that's right) raincoat I've ever encountered. It works fine so I'm keeping it because I'm really tired of buying and returning items because they aren't what is expected. I figure putting on a fleece underneath it will help the warmth factor. It did keep me dry on rainy days when I walk my dog. And it will be really easy to pack because it's so thin. I would not buy it again nor would I recommend it to anyone else. If you buy it, order the next size up.
This is just what I wanted. It's stylish and very light weight yet completely waterproof. It fits fairly loosely so that I can layer clothes and sweaters appropriately. However, I wore it with a t-shirt and played a little soccer in the rain with my son. I was bone dry even my hair under the hood. I wish there were blue rain paints that I could buy as well.
