ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, over performs
I bought this coat at the end of September. Got it delivered in great time. I don't have a car and walk most places or take public transportation. I wanted something that would deal with the elements well. I didn't realize how well though. I bought it in the Large size so I could layer. I'm 5'4 and 120 pounds. Unfortunately and fortunately, I have shoulders like a linebacker, so it fits well. I haven't had the chance to layer because this jacket is very warm. For such a thin material, it stops wind and rain well. Actually, with just a long-sleeved T on in 50 degree weather, I tend to perspire a bit. I'm looking forward to a 30 degree or below day because that's probably when I feel most comfortable in this jacket.
Extra info: At my height it comes just to my knees. The sleeves can be adjusted with the velcro straps at the end of each sleeve. You can make it long or short. The pockets are deep and hold a lot. YES. The zipper is a pain and must be a manufacturing issue. I do struggle with it from time to time. I'm a wash freak and haven't washed this yet but hope it can stand up to the task of a commercial washer. If not, the wonderful LL Bean return policy will be used.

Living in the PNW we have a LOT of rain. Water resistant is just good for a quick errand in and out of the car. Waterproof is more our need. Fits true to size if you plan to add a fleece under it. Love the 3/4 length, color and waterproof material. Will see with time if it is durable.

This coat is very practical and looks great. It keeps me dry and breaks wind on windy days. I bought it for walking my dog in the rain and commuting to work. I bought it a size larger than my normal size and wear a fleece jacket underneath for extra warmth. I wear it even when it does not rain.
