I just got my bright yellow slicker (i.e., Trail Model Rain Coat) last week - and just love it, even though my husband says that I look like the Morton Salt girl. It's certainly light, will fold up to a really small package, and will be great for travel. The only drawback is that the zipper doesn't work all that well. I'm hoping that with time, it'll be easier to close/open. If not - there's always the velcro closures.

As a boater... have been looking for a "longer" rain jacket so shorts do not get wet in summer rain... light enough not to be cumbersome... roomy enough to add layers without being "sacky" without layers. The hood actually covers my head and the zipper is my preference to velcro! THIS IS THE PERFECT JACKET!!! I LOVE IT, and you will too!!!!! I think I will buy the shorter version too!
