Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the Trail Model Rainwear Coat I ordered. I didn't like the way it was lined. It felt heavy and like it wouldn't breath very well. Two years ago, I ordered a Stowaway Rainwear Coat that I liked much better. This year I ordered the Trail Model to save some money. And, it's a great value for the money with all the nice detailing. I just liked the weight and feel of the Stowaway better. I'll be exchanging the Trail Model for the Stowaway. It costs more, but it's worth it to me to be as comfortable as possible on long rainy walks with my dog.
I am an active Mom whose kids are out in all kinds of weather and thus, so am I. Rain coat is light enough to pack. We always dress in layers and I didn't want a warm heavy jacket. The length means I can get away with no rain pants, which works great for me. Comfortable, light, fits right, I didn't by up in size because it doesn't get too cold here, but I am somewhat slight. I would recommend!
If I didn't need a rain jacket so badly, I would send this one back. The zipper is faulty and very difficult to zip. It's also very form fitting, so it would be difficult to wear with a bulky sweater. However I do like the very lightweight material for our moderate CA weather and I love the length. It's difficult to find a coat this long with a hood on it....so I'm keeping it. If they'd fix the zipper problem (which so many have mentioned) and added another inch width, I'd give it 5 stars.
I thought the hood was a bit large (at first) until I discovered the velcro on the back. It covered my LED headlight and I couldn't see where I was going. I like the length. It is a bit tight over a coat but works fine. I bought it on sale.
