i love 2-way zippers on any length jacket or coat. i considered several on this website, but chose this one because of the 2-way zipper AND the very bright yellow color available, for high visibility.
This coat is lightweight and truly waterproof. It's great for warmer rainy days when you want to stay dry. I have a long walk from the train to my office and wanted a lightweight coat with a hood. I found it to run a little on the smaller side so had return the medium for a large. With the velcro closure on the sleeves, I'm able to adjust so the large works fine. Nice deep pockets. Overall I'm hapy with it.
This is my second raincoat from LL Bean; I have the coral one from last year and this year I have the carbon one that I will use for going back and forth to work.
I bought this rain coat based on the reviews I had read. At first when I received it I too thought it was alittle over priced for what it was but I quickly changed my mind after putting it on. This coat is long, falls just above my knees which I think is really great as it keeps your legs dry too. It zips up really high so on those windy and rainy days you don't get rain running down your chin, the hood is great, too. The pockets are big and they zip closed. Some of the reviews I read complained that this coat was too thin and that it must be made cheap, but the material is a really nice wind-proof material that also allows for venitlation so on those muggy days when it rains you're not sweating. This coat isn't made to be worn alone in super cold weather but I bought a large and thought it was true to size with plenty of room to layer underneath when it is colder. I also thought this coat would be great to take along when traveling/camping because you can fold it up and it barely takes up any extra room. I live in New England and since buying this coat have had to wear it several times in pouring, windy and chilly weather and love it. I bought this in the green and the color is very pretty.
