This coat does exactly was it says. It protects against water in the rain. It is lightweight which is exactly what I wanted for all season wear in the mid south. It is not meant to be warm which suits my purposes well. I did order a size up(5'6", 130 lbs) so I could layer if needed. The large fits nicely with even a turtleneck and two sweaters. It is long enough that even my thighs stay dry. The hood adjusts to accomodate everything from a short hair style to big hair. The periwinkle color is lovely. I'll be wearing this with my wellies to garden in the rain!
I unfortunately will be returning because of the fit. I am 5'3" and 160 lbs and the Large is too big in the shoulders and the hood is too big for my face. It hung over my face that interfers with my sight. I love the green color and really needed something long on those rainy days when waiting to pick the kids up for school and walking the dogs. The only drawback is the mesh pockets - not good for keys or small items and not warm.
This coat is fantastic. It's light weight and fits perfectly. I love the deep pockets. Best surprise: when I get in the car, I don't even know I have it on - no bulk, no rutching. I highy recommend.
