I ordered this raincoat because it is longer than most, lightweight, and had a hood plus other quality LL Bean features. Unfortunately, I did not like the fabric, and didn't understand from the desription that it was crinkly and noisy. I was looking for a more cottony finish. I loved the design, length and quality but returned it and will keep looking for what I want.
Recently I purchased 2 of these, one for my daughter who lives in Denver and one for myself! Since weather can be a determining factor in going outside, we find that this rain coat is great. It is light weight, we can layer clothes underneath and it is comfortable while walking and while driving or sitting. Also, the length is stylish and increases the rain protection.
You could spend twice this much and get half the coat. The seams are taped, wow! This is a beautiful coat and so practical. i can wear warmer clothes under it or just wear it over light clothing. It really stops the rain from seeping into my clothes. Many rain coats are so short they only cover down to the waist--this has coverage to just above the knees!
I purchased this coat in black for my daughter who is very fashion consious so I was worried. She really liked it! She needed a rain coat for work and it is a professional looking coat. Very pleased.
