I thought the jacket would be a bit heavier than it was. It had the feel of a lightweight poncho (which I just wore at a college football game, which cost less than $5), so I don't feel the cost factor could be overcome. I feel bad to say that!!
After soaking through a rainy summer..I bought this jacket hoping for the best...well, it is better than I thought! Not only does this jacket keep me dry, it trendy and looks great. Love, love, love that it covers me below the knees..so when I'm running into work..I'm still dry when I get there!
The mesh lining in the pockets is a big negative; my keys get caught in it every time. The mesh material is not very strong, which means the pockets are not very useful in general. The double zipper hangs up now & then as well - with this expensive of a jacket I would expect the zipper to work smoothly each & every time. I was also surprised how thin the jacket was -- again, for the price, I guess I expected something a bit more substantial. However, the jacket certainly keeps me dry during rain storms - which is why I purchased it!
