ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, awesome!
I bought this jacket for my wife and she loves it. Overall the jacket is awesome! The sleeves are comfortable. The jacket length is just right. The jacket, due to the Polartec Windbloc fabric, really blocks out the wind. The wind was about medium strength. The jacket's zip cover on the top is a really nice touch because it prevents scratching the neck when pulled all the way up. The hood looks just a bit tight on her but she likes it. I like that the outside pockets have zippers so that things inside can be secured. We also like the inside pockets which by the way is a bonus due to how the outside pockets are constructed. Finally the workmanship is excellent. It's a very well constructed jacket. On a personal note, I got this jacket for my wife after I asked her to get me the men's version. She was impressed with the jacket. When I told her LLBean has a women's version, she told me to get it. One small difference between the two that I didn't notice before buying was that the women's version doesn't have a chest pocket, but she doesn't mind. Btw, the men's version also rocks!
I really wanted to keep this jacket!! The medium size was a perfect fit. I love the pink/purple color. However, like other reviews mention, the sleeves are too short. When extending my arms to bicycle handlebars the sleeves need about two more inches. I couldn't justify keeping this jacket at the price. Hopefully, this can be corrected in future designs.

I am a huge fan of reading reviews before I purchase anything and this jacket was no exception. When I read that the sleeves tend to run short, I knew that this was a jacket for me! I am 5'2" and 125 and ordered the small in brown. The fit is slightly fitted yet I am able to wear a sweatshirt underneath it. I wasn't planning on trying the water resistance feature so soon after I bought it but I found myself in a rainstorm while running errands. I can attest that this jacket did repel the water and the rain did not seep through. Of course I wasn't walking in the rain for a long time and can't vouch for that but for being in and out of it, it did the job.

I bought this jacket because I need something that would be cozy and block the wind while I walk along the beach. The reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5: Fleece inside makes it very hard to pull on over a cotton shirt (a slick lining would be better) and it is a couple inches shorter than my personal preference.
The color matched perfectly to the picture on the web site (lavender) and the quality is just what I expect from LL Bean.
