I am tall 5'9" and wear size 8-10, and usually have problems getting the sleeves or body long enough. I bought this in a large and it fit perfect. The arms were long enough without being to big in bodice. The length of bodice is also good, falling below hip where a jacket should to keep out the cold. The color is pretty too! I am always cold in damp and wind so was looking for a warmer fleece. This hit the mark. The fleece is a slightly stiffer fabric but is still pliable and it really blocks the wind at the kids soccer games! It feels slightly different than regular fleece but is still comfy and I actually like the hood too for misty/rainy weather as well. Also with the wind blocking polartec it is still very lightweight and can easily be put into backpack, diaper bag whatever without being to bulky. I liked it so much I am giving my mother in law one for her birthday.
I bought an earlier version of this jacket about 4 years ago. It's one of my favorite pieces of clothes I've ever owned. It can be worn indoors without getting too hot, and it is amazing outdoors. It has excellent wind resistance. I wore this when we visited Alaska, and with a good layer underneath, it was plenty warm almost all the time. And, on top of that it's very lightweight and thin, so packs tightly.
Love this jacket, I have short arms, other reviews that complained about this are true, but for me, they are perfect, I usually have to roll up all my sleeves. I normally am a size 12 but the large was too tight as I have broad shoulders so I had to return and reordered in XL, now I can wear a light sweater underneath. It is very warm, I have only worn it in the house so far but have had to take it off as it was too warm! Will be great for walking on the beach in late winter in NE, running to the store, etc.
