It's perfect for me in KS. I really needed something for the spring and fall seasons. We get a lot of wind(obviously, it's KS) and this jacket handles it great. It's perfect for walking/hiking. I would say ideal temperature ranges for my climate are 50F to 20F. You have to consider I have wind to deal with just about everyday. So 50F can feel like 35F. However, if it is a calm 20F it still keeps me warm with a sweater underneath.
I love the color, (I purchaased the red one about two months ago) and the fit is good, but the sleeves could be a LOT longer. Also the material is a little weird, seems like it's a "plastic felt". It's not the most comfy feeling material, on the stiff side. But for the price I paid, I'll keep it. If I had paid full price I would've sent it back. I have'nt had a chance to see how warm it is yet, it is really thin, but with a fairly thick sweater it should be fine in cool to moderate temps. All in all, it is a decent jacket.
I have the purple one. I love the color & the wind fleece. It truly works to keep the wind out & the warmth in. I love the hood, which is a must in the NW. I love the zip pockets on the exterior & the extra interior pockets. This COULD be my favorite fleece EXCEPT the sleeves are too short! Seriously! Either my wrists are exposed or the bottoms of my sleeves are exposed EVERY time I wear this jacket. So, I have to be very careful when I choose to wear it as I live in the rain. PLEASE redesign this jacket with longer sleeves. I would appreciate it as well as so many other customers, according to many of your other reviews. I really want to love this jacket. I love everything about it EXCEPT the sleeves. I check back here to your website at least 1x per week to see if you have come out with a new version of this jacket because I would like to buy more colors. I'm waiting...
The light weight and warm jacket makes my wife happy. The protection of wind is great to keep warm. It also looks good and fit, a flawless design. It sometimes can replace down jacket in town.
