Nice jacket but tighter fit than I would like
PostedDecember 7, 2011
I bought a size larger than the size chart recommended, but still the jacket was tighter than I prefer. The fabric does block the wind and the jacket is warm, but it's hard to get on over a shirt because the jacket fabric doesn't slide easily over undergarments.

I really do love these. They are so soft, warm, & stylish too. I purchased the deep lilac & also the wild aster purple horizon.
I love both colors. I also purchased the vests. Great look & feel. I highly recommend these. You will love them too!

i am not a giant. i am 5'9". i really love every aspect of this jacket and the one i bought two years ago EXCEPT that the sleeves are too dang short!!!! in point of fact, everything i have ever purchased from llbean has sleeves that dont make it to my wrists, with the singular exception of the rain jacket. i ordered this one in a 1x in hopes of maybe getting a little extra fabric. alas. i am not returning as it does everything else it should. ive been wearing it under my trail model rain jacket so i can keep my wrists dry and warm.

Prosa disappointment, drafty and cold
Brought this jacket to northern Morocco where I'm spending the winter months. Temperature average mid 60's to mid 40's during the rainy season. At least you don't have to shovel it. This jacket sounded perfect, temp. rating and water resistant. Wrong!!! I'm here where central heating is non-existant with a jacket the equivalent of a light sweater. Thank goodness for the Trail Model fleece I also brought.
Will haul Wind Challenger back across the Atlantic and return it.
