This is my third Wind Challenger Fleece Hooded Jacket, and with one exception, it is still on the top of my favorite transition season list. Several years ago, I purchased my first jacket in light green (OBWT2). Then a couple of years ago, I got another in teal (RN71341/VN06135). You made one major (for me) change after the first model; you eliminated 2 upper front inside zipper pockets and replaced them with 2 inside huge drop-in pockets. So, now I have no easy access to my cell phone when I'm driving. I LOVED those zipper pockets for not only my phone, but for money, lists, etc. I cannot get into the pockets of the last 2 jackets without releasing my seat belt - not a good plan. I would pay double to get those pockets back! The man's jacket still has the upper front outside zipper pockets! My new red jacket is beautiful, but I still have those big inside "bucket" pockets. I want my pockets back! thank you
I received the Wind Challenger jacket in color Deep Capri/Astral Blue. I love the wind-block fabric and the color which is more of a deep aqua. The wind-block fleece does feel much more dense than the comfort fleece. The fit is true to size. I am very pleased with it.
I love this jacket. My first purchase was without the hood because it was on sale. I loved it so much I got another with a hood and one for my husband. It blocks the wind as it states, unlike the other fleece jackets. It's lightweight but keeps me warm and dry. It often becomes my winter shopping coat for the above stated qualities.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, flattering!
I could not be more pleased with this jacket. It arrived just in time for a weather change a couple of weeks ago, where temperatures are in the high 40s/low 50s in the morning. It is super warm and very flattering. The hood doesn't have a pull-tie-thing, but somehow it stays up in downtown Chicago's wind. It is a short fleece - feels almost like a fancy felt. I'm 5'4" at 148 pounds and ordered a size large. It fits great and there's room for light layering or a sweatshirt. The sleeves are little long but sit right on the wrist due to the tailored cuff. It is a perfect early Fall jacket!
