I just received this item and it fits perfectly. I haven't washed it yet. I am a size 10 and ordered a medium and there is plenty roomy in the arms and body to wear it over a t-shirt and a thin sweater. I love that it is shaped - reduces the bulk that so many fleeces have. The arm length could be a bit longer but I have long arms.
I am 5'10.. 180. I ordered this fleece in L and it was too tight and XL was too big. The sleeves are also too short. And the hood seems too tight. The fleece itself is thick/soft and I can see it performing well in weather, however, I will be returning mine because the sleeves are too short. A little disappointed because I was so excited to try it out in the Alaskan wind.

Love it, love it, love it! I can't say it enough. I've owned a lot of fleece jackets of various thicknesses, and this is by far the best ever! I was at Cub Scout Camp last weekend in 90 km/h winds and driving mist...the kind that sticks to everything. The wind didn't touch me and the rain not only didn't come through, but it wasn't even damp to the touch! I was amazed. At one point, I had to unzip it because I was too warm. I was glad that I went a size up as everyone suggested. My regular size would have been too small. Thanks everyone for the advice. I will definitely order more in different colours.
I've had this jacket now for a couple of years. It is well made although thin. It holds back the wind, but it is not a warm fleece. In fact, it is hard for me to call it fleece at all as the nap is so small it seems more like a stiff felt. It runs small and is tailored somewhat so it does not work over a heavy sweater or corduroy shirt. I ordered a size large which was too small and had to order up to an XL which is still not real roomy. With no lining, it sticks and is difficult to pull on. Nevertheless, I give it good marks as I've learned to wear it as a layer over a turtleneck and under my LL Bean long rain coat or rain jacket and then it works great to keep wind out and keep me warm. And the hood fits well. As a single layer jacket, it works well when it is 50 F. degrees. However, it is not warm for anything 40 F. degrees and below. The black color is not true black but more of a very dark charcoal.
