The item description does a very good job tell the reader what they are going to get. It blocks the wind very well, the hood is roomy and warm. It sheds water better than expected while it is new, but that may decrease over time.
I really like this fleece jacket. I got it in the navy color and it fits real nice. It keeps the wind out and layers wonderfully under my lightweight down jacket. My only problem is I have a yellow lab mix and her fur along with feathers from my down jacket stick to fleece and is annoying to remove regularly. I wish they had this fleece in gray or any lighter color so it wouldn't show so much.
I have been wearing my new fleece jacket every day lately, during record rainfalls in California. It has been keeping me warm and dry on my daily dog walks, much to my surprise and joy, whereas in damp, windy weather I usually feel chilled to the bone. I haven't tested out just how water resistant it is but I can say that used under an umbrella it is highly effective. The rain that inevitably gets on my sleeves just rolls right off. In the cool temperatures we have been having (50s and 60s) I only need to wear a light sweater under it to feel warm. I am really very thankful that I bought this. The only negative is that it has a slight plasticky feel to it - but the cozy warmth of it soon makes one forget that.

I love fleece, but I find that a little breeze cuts through most jackets and I freeze. This Wind Challenger Hooded Jacket is just perfect. I don't overheat, because it is not too heavy for me. When a breeze comes up, I don't get chilled. The best part is it has a hood, so I can keep all the heat from escaping from around my neck. Toasty!
