Nice jacket! Only reason didn't give a 5 star was because it doesn't come in petite sizes! Had to return because I felt like a little kid in it. I'm 5'1" tall.
I absolutely LOVE the wind challenger hooded jacket. When I bought my first one I had thought I'd wear it in the fall but I have been wearing it all spring, walking. It is perfect for the wind and if rain comes up on my walk the hood is perfect!! Not totally waterproof but it has been just fine for me in the rain while walking!! Again, I love this jacket. Warm and comfy. 2 friends have ordered them from my recommendations!!
I was fortunate to snatch this gem on sale. I was a bit leery after reading some reviews, but am absolutely thrilled. It's my "Go To" jacket for everything: dog walking, hiking, running around town, you name it. Don't let its light weight fool you. It really does block the wind even in the high desert! I wish it was a bit boxier & offered in Petite sizes. I'm 5'3", weigh 110lbs & am short in the torso so I often get swallowed in LLBean jackets. I have this in a Small & it hangs a bit longer than I prefer. I do love the elastic around the wrists which help keep the wind out & all the pockets. Overall, you can't go wrong with this jacket!
I recently purchased this for a spring trip to Washington, D.C. It was perfect for the weather in the morning and light enough to carry when I didn't need it. It kept me warm and even dry when an unpredicted shower arose. It really is windproof. My only complaint is it is cut pretty narrow and I prefer a wider cut. I tried ordering the next size up but then it looked much too big. All in all, a good all purpose jacket for the price.
